I’m a wife — and someone learning how to hold on to love while gently letting go of what memory no longer keeps.
I didn’t expect this path.
I was just a woman in love with a man who made me laugh, brought me coffee in bed, and once said he was building a castle for me. Then dementia came — quiet at first, like a fog rolling in.
This blog is where I write to remember.
To honour the man my husband has always been — and still is, in the ways that matter most.
And maybe… to walk beside others who are facing the same uncertain journey.
I don’t write with medical advice or neat answers. I write with truth, warmth, and all the love that still lives in our moments — even the quiet, forgetful ones.
Because I believe that even when memory fades…
Love stays.
